Description: Volatile substances include the most frequently abused drug - ethanol (ethyl alcohol, drinking alcohol). Ethanol is the most widely used intoxicant. Also included in this test is acetone, which is occasionally found in diabetics, methanol (grain alcohol), and isopropanol (rubbing alcohol).
